The EATC mission, “To lead collaborative investment, marketing and diversification efforts for Eastern Alberta” includes assisting its member communities to improve their capacity to attract, retain and expand Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). In various FDI projects over the past ten years, EATC is grateful for the support of one of the many tools deployed by the Government of Canada to increase prosperity: the CanExport Community Investments program. CECI provides financial support to communities for their FDI initiatives and activities. The program provides support to Canadian communities seeking to improve their capacity to attract, retain and expand FDI in order to create jobs for Canadians, support innovation and increase exports.
